Acer palmatum - Kurenai jishi is another new maple for our nursery. This slow growing cultivar is noted for its tightreddish-brown leaves and congested growth habit. Spring color is reddish-brown turning to dark red/green color in the summer and then finishing with yellow to orange to scarlet in the fall.

A dwarf maple - this crazy cutie can reach 4\' tall and 2\' wide in 10 years. Once established this cultivar is hardy to USDA Zone 6.
