This case is the most superbly made fully hallmarked and Dunhill signed authentic cigarette case or business card case. A fine collector\'s piece. The lid, sides and base all perfectly matched engine turned designs. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The gold vermeil interior is excellent and both the lid and base are fully hallmarked. Please see picture. I think the hallmarks show that this case was made for Dunhill by William Frederick Wright and assayed in London in around 1919. The interior lid is inscribed in elegant script \"J\". The case is in excellent condition it just needs polishing. It measures 2\" x 3\" and weighs 96 grams.
It is fully Hallmarked with British Hallmarks and has a thick 14 kit gold gilt interior and embellishments on top and bottom of the Solid Sterling Silver cases exterior as well ! This is a superb and elegant hand tooled engine turned authentic Alfred Dunhill case made in London England almost a century ago !!
