From the country world renown for their precision watches, the Alpa camera was one of Switzerland\'s entry into the camera industry! The Alpa 10D (sometimes referred to as the 10D Revue) was available in Black or Chrome models and was marketed between 1968-1974. This is the Chrome version and features a TTL matching-needle exposure meter. Like fine Swiss watches, this line of cameras were individually handcrafted so the qualify was very high, as well as the price! This camera is in very good condition. The body shows very little signs of wear. The metallic chrome parts show some very minor surface scratches and scruff marks expected from normal wear and handling. The film chamber is very clean. The shutter mechanism seems to work well - we did not actually shoot any film with this camera. The battery chamber is corrosion free. It uses PX450 mercury cells which are not available anymore but modern substitutes are available.The camera comes with the original stitched leather case which is in excellent condition, with all the buckets, rivets, strap rings and stitches intact.
Note to collectors: The serial number on the main body matches the serial number on the lower body film chamber cover - see Image #4 and #8 on photo lineup.
