This is a rare jewel. The brooch has a Maria Theresa Thaler coin motif in the center - I don\'t know if this is a real coin or not as it appears to be brass or copper. It is surmounted by a wonderful scallop design also in brass or copper. Hanging from the pendant is a stunning large amber pendant!!! The piece was purchased in Finland. It may be baltic or Russian. It dates to c1900.The condition is very fine. It can be easily converted to a pendant if desired. The brooch is 10.5 by 6.5 cm. The amber is 28 mm long. There are no marks on the piece.
