This great little child\'s ladderback high chair was made in New England c. 1780-1800. It is made of maple stained to resemble mahogany with hickory arms and stretchers. It has an old rush seat that has a coat of varnish on the top surface that does a good job of consolidating the seat and making it easy to clean up after baby. It has an old refinish that looks very natural. The chair is 32.5\" tall at the top of the backstile x 14.5\" deep x 14.75\" wide. The seat height is 19.75\". We have use this high chair with our Grandson and it works well. The legs are splayed but, as with most of these early children\'s high chairs, it would not be best to leave the child unattended. The chair is in good solid condition and does not appear to have any replacements.
