This is for a very niceornate gold filledVictorian Secretaries pencil madebyE.S.Johnson and Co in the late 1800s. It is a nice ornate example. It works by firstlypulling back the inner section to extend the pencil to full length, then you have two choices for use, you can slide the dip pen down on the ring slider that runs the length of the main body...or if you want the pencil, you simply twist the tip of the smaller section and the pencil nozzle emerges from the end, it then propels the lead by turningthe nozzle.It is markedon the side of the pencil \'E.S.Johnson & Co\' .It is in good condition and is fullyworking, it slides out nicely, it extends properly andit propels the lead nicely. There are a couple of dings to it, one on the main body and atiny one up near the end of the inner section, thats all, otherwise there is only the light surfacewear from age you see.Closed it measures 77mm from the very bottom to the topand when open the pencil measures 173m from the tip of the pencil nozzle to the tip of the pen nib.Please check out all the otherpencils, lighters, vesta\'s, snuff boxes, pipes, pens,pencils, clocks, cases and other vintage gentlemans accessories we are selling on this week.
