Persian, late Qajar dynasty -dating from the beginning of the 20th century.
Cast in bronze, (not brass), a fine quality goblet. The flaring circular foot is a applied and riveted to the separately cast bowl and shaft. The ornate shaft is of multi-baluster form.
The surface is finely finished with chiseled and engraved decoration - five quatrefoil vignettes contain engraved figures of Qajar appearance - see images 8 - 12. The figurative decoration is set within a complex foliate ground.Overall height - 5 7/8\" (149mm).
Weight - 459 grams.

Condition - Very Good. No repairs. No dents or cracks.
