Description:An Imperial Russian 88 standard silver gilt and multicolor cloisonne enamel egg, Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, circa 1890. The two part egg decorated in scrolling floral and foliate motifs in opaque blue, white and black enamel, highlighted with translucent red enamel, opening to reveal a gilt interior. Height: 2 3/4″ ( 6.9 cm). Weight: 80 grams. Stock No. 1403-006. Eggs like this were frequently given as expensive gifts at Easter. Guaranteed to be authentic, circa 1890 and not a later reproduction.
Condition: Very good condition for age.
