A Han Dynasty figure of a musician holding a small drum. The figure is dressed in a robe with a satchel, holding a drumin the right hand. The head is wearing a hat. Remains of deep red and white paint. Lips are light red.Self standing. Head has been reattached.

The ancient Chinese believed that what when a person dies, they enter into the after life. Death was comprehended as a prolongation of life.
