Composed of sixteen ancient Egyptian mosaic glass beads, alternating with green and yellow stripes. Each glass bead is contained between sixty multicolored ancient Egyptian faience spacer beads and fourteen ancient Egyptian bar beads. The focal point being a wonderful emerald green glass bead of Ptolemaic date. The necklace is finished with a modern claw clasp, enabling these delightful jewel like beads to be worn and appreciated again today.

These ancient beads were excavated from the windswept sands of ancient Egypt, exposed by aeons of weathering and heavy rains. Together, these beads form a simple yet auspicious necklace, with hues of green and blue. The beads of green were associated with growth, healing and fertility. The ancient Egyptian word for green was\"Wadj\"it means \"to flourish\" or \"to be healthy\". The blue colored beads were symbolic of the heavens and the life giving waters of the Nile.
