You are offerding on an Anri chess set n perfect condition. The king stands 3-7/8 inches tall (9.85 cm).

The purple velvet was added many years ago for further protection of the pieces and box. It is not glued down or anything, it just protects the box and pieces. The box/trays are perfect.

The felts on the bottoms of few of the pieces have bubbled.

They come in a nice wood box. There is no chess board.
