For sale is an antique Ansonia Double Statue Mantle Clock. This clock is titled “Combatants” circa 1984. This clock features an eight day movement striking a gong on the hour and the half hour with a brass dial and open escapement. The clock is in excellent condition. The Japanese Bronze statues and clock tower are complete with no obvious signs of cracks or old repairs. The clock case and ornaments are in good condition and complete. The black enameled finish on the base looks original with some lifting paint and scratches. The glass, bezel, and dial show no defects or repair. The “club” in one of the statues hand is correct but may not be original to the clock. The clock runs and strikes well. This clock is offered in as found condition from the estate of a relative. Please examine the pictures for the best description. This clock is heavy and will be shipped insured and dismantled down to the four major components. Dimensions are 21 ½” tall, 23” across and 6 ½” deep. This clock can be found in the book, “Ansonia Clocks and Watches” by Tran Duy Ly, page 152 figure 478.
