Measures 1-1/2\", black ink on white, union bug and manufacturer are on lower edge, but mostly illegible.
In 1967, artist Peter Hurd was assigned to paint the official White House presidential portrait of President Lyndon Baines Johnson; but, when the picture was completed, LBJ rejected it, saying it was \"the ugliest thing I ever saw.\" This quickly became a comedy saying for nearly everything; and eventually wound up on this 1960s protest pin. I am assuming that it is somewhat rare, as I have not been able to find other similar pinbacks.
