This is a gorgeous 15\" bisque headed, composition body, baby doll made by Kestner in approx. 1900. She is marked: \"Made in Germany / 152 / 7\", has a wonderful original mohair wig, original pate, gray sleep eyes (head packed for shipping), wonderful color (small scuff on right cheek), double chin, dimples, wonderful painted eyebrows and lashes, open mouth with 4 teeth and tongue and she is dressed in a great christening dress with matching slip, bonnet, and diaper. Her head is perfect with no cracks, chips or defects. The composition body is really nice with only some variation in color. She can be seen on page 170 of Jan Foulke\'s book \"Kestner -King of Dollmakers\". What a great addition to any collection! She is nice and clean and ready to display.
