This fine 17th century Persian folio has 20 linesof fine nasta’liq script arranged in four columns, and is exquisitely illuminatedwith birds, clouds, a tree and two charming foxes in gilt paint on one side. Onthe obverse there is a similar script panel with a polychrome illuminated titlecartouche. This folio comes presented in gilt frame with glass cover on front and rear,so that both sides might be viewed. It is in good condition, with some wear fromuse around the edges; and it measures 12¾ x 18 inches (33.46 cm), and weighs 1.5kg without packaging.
