.........early 1850s miniature tintype album...........

This photo album was purchased at a Minnesota estate and dates to the 1850s. It is a miniature type, bound in red leather with gold embossing and closing nicely with a brass clasp. The interior is filled with 44 miniature tintypes, all portraits. There is space for 44 more with some blank pages. In really nice condition for the age.

Size: Album: 3 5/8\" x 3 3/8\" x 3/4\"; Tintypes: 5/8\" x 13/16\" (very tiny); Grams: 112

Condition: Good vintage - album is in great shape with minor edge wear and some toning inside - brass clasp is original and works well - most of the tintypes are in great shape with the photographer adding in pink color to the cheeks on some - some of the tintypes show deterioration with flaking and cracks
