For your consideration is fantastic original 1888 US Presidential campaign pin for Grover Cleveland and Allen Thurman. This pin is listed as GC-1888-63. Grover Cleveland ran as the incumbent but lost the election to Benjamin Harrison. Harrison won the Electoral Vote while Cleveland won the popular vote.The brass frame features an eagle with outstretched wings perched on the top, and at the bottom are two folded Flags. The photographs are albumen and are in choice, NM condition. Thurmans photograph is slightly offset as made. The brass shows just slight wear with almost full luster, and original pin is attached on the back. Would be very tough to upgrade this specimen. It measures about 35mm tall by 33mm wide. A fantastic example of this original pin that would be a perfect addition to any collection. Be sure to check out my sales for more historic items, Americana and early photographs.
