DollDetails:

Look at this happy little bisque fellow- he has everything he\'ll need for the journey to your home! Though unmarked as to maker, we do think he\'s by Heubach Koppelsdorf- but we\'ll leave it to you to be the final judge!

Regardless of who made him, he\'s a wonderful little boy. Definitely a boy, too, and not a girl- see the short hair? Great painted face with an open/closed mouth and sculpted hair. His limbs are the originals, with nice heeled shoes with straps and molded short socks; a fleabite to the tip of one toe, otherwise no chips or cracks. And someone thought a good deal of him, too, for he comes in a vintage 10\" x 5\" cigar box with lots of extras- in addition to the wonderful, rare 1890s antique swimming costume, he also has a pair of antique black wool pants and a little uniform shirt with \'4\' on it- an old sports team outfit, perhaps?

He also has a darling vintage tall felt hat, a little 50s Ronson bag for laundry, and some antique bedding of a handmade pillow and little embroidered handkerchief. The handkerchief has an elaborate R on it- so we\'ve named him Reginald! Reginald also comes with his pet bird, (we\'ve named the bird Chirpy) also vintage, and probably 1950s Made in Japan, of red crepe paper and waxed branch, with a little metal stand.

A good deal of dust toface, and the clothing has age wear (the red shirt has a seam that needs restitching) but, gee! Reginald\'s bound to be a bit dirty, playing with his bird Chirpy outdoors all the time!

Allin all, a really darling little boy, with his \'trunk\' and possessions! Reginald is up for any adventure!Pleasecheck our other sales, as we have a small but select group ofother vintage items and antique dolls up for sale this week!

Marionettejillyis not a big ol\' corporation. We are actually pretty nice folks, withan interest in antiques, fighting upstream against inflation and theeconomy just like everyone else. We sell mostly vintage and antiqueitems, with wear and the ravages of time as to be expected.

Donot expect our vintage items to be in new or like new condition- manyof our items are fragile, played with, and many are over 100 yearsold. Many of our items have been in storage for years, soif you are allergic to dust, or sensitive to certain scents orsmells, we do not recommend purchasing vintage items.

Inthe rare event that there is a problem with an item, just sit back, take a deep breath, and tell us about it calmly. We have not set outto scam you: we try hard to be accurate with descriptions- but we\'rehuman, and might have missed something that’s important to you. Useyour own good common sense, ask questions before an sale ends, andexpect an item to have a unique patina and history all its own- withimperfections inherent in antique pieces!

Please do not expect aresponse during evening or weekend hours- with any luck we are outdoing something fun, far far away from the computer!

ABOUT“ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED” complaints and vintage items:whenyou purchase a vintage or antique item, it is never going to be innew or perfect condition, and cannot be expected to be so. We haveseen an unfortunate, but increasingly common, tactic crop up: thincomplaints, always accompanied by a request for a partial refund, saying that an item is \'not as described\'. When buying somethingpreowned, it\'s easy for a less than honest buyer to pick a flaw outof the air and attempt to secure a partial refund over imagined orexaggerated \'imperfections\'. Ifsomeone is looking for a way to get money back, sure, one can alwaysfind something, anything at all, despite any seller\'s carefullywritten description. WE ALWAYS FIGHT THIS TYPE OF NONSENSE. If youlike something, keep it. If you don\'t, return it under the guidelinesabove. Those are the choices. So if there is anyone out there who iseven considering employing this tactic, please pass us by.

And,as a final note to the patient people who have bothered to readeverything so far: Sorry if we sound crabby. Sometimes people can beso petty and unreasonable it can break your heart. We\'ve had a run ofreally awful experiences this season- let\'s hope it ends soon, beforewe lose the rest of our hair, our jolly perspective on life ingeneral, and our much-needed sense of humor!!!
