Super Antique Red Silk Teddy Roosevelt Bandana

Up for your consideration is this absolutely lovely antique and historical red silk bandana from around 1912. This bandana or handkerchief represents the Bull Moose Party or Progressive Party of 1912 when Roosevelt entered the race for President a second time and he created his own party after the Republican party would not back him in instead continuing to support Taft. This bandana is vibrant in color and in very good condition, it was professionally matted and framed; however, during delivery to my home, the glass and the frame were broken but luckily the bandana did not get harmed. It is certainly secure in the matting, upper left corner is peeled back a bit but can be resecured and reframed to your liking. The bandana has the Teddy hat in the upper left and lower right corners, moose in the upper right and lower left as well as in the center. I do not see any rips or tears or pulls, there is a little looseness in some areas and the pictures show a few shadows...they are not defects. There are three small fingerprint size, very light (almost like a shadow) darker marks with two on the right side, upper and lower, and one on the left side upper. I have included pics of the right side, very faint...I could not get a pic of the left side. The piece measures 26 3/4\" X 23 1/4\" in the matting, certainly the bandanaalone is not that size and is probably about 1\" less on all sides. Please be advised, since this is professionally matted, they probably stapled or secured the silk bandana to keep it straight and in place...not sure how completely but I can see a staple in the upper left corner where it is separated. Not sure if anyone would even consider removing it from the matting since it present very well........Sold As Is.
