I bought this unusual trophy directly from an estate in Kingston,NY. It is silver plate over copper.The plate is well worn as it probably was polished often enough.It stands about 30\" tall.The base measures 7 1/4 \" diameter in a 6 sided hex form.The trunk is a tapered 6 sided form.The trunk is a 2 piece mold and the seams are separating somewhat.However,it will be a collectors item and such an antique should show its age.I certainly would not repair.The maker is EGW&S.I believe of Sheffield.I have owned this piece for a couple of years now and I can\'t remember anyone guessing just what it is.Made a nice conversation piece.Weighs in the area of 6.25 lbs.
