This is the later style Orthophonic reproducer, made of pot metal. The pot metal on this one seems to be in pretty good condition with a couple of very fine hairline cracks and a chip out of the spanner ring (although I think you can buy a replacement spanner ring from a phonograph supply company). The needle bar has dislodged from the solder point on the diaphragm and there could be missing ball bearings (I hear them rattle around when I tilt the soundbox). There are also a couple of tears in the diaphragm. The back flange will need to be replaced (as they all usually do). The gold plating on the front is what caught my eye with this reproducer, it is in remarkable condition! There is some dirt? around the top rim, which I believe can be cleaned off. This reproducer is in very good condition considering how these pot metal ones usually show up, and it may be a candidate for a total rebuild! Make me an offer!
