Patrick Joseph Hayes (November 20, 1867 – September 4, 1938) was an American Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Archbishop of New York from 1919 until his death, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1924.

The engraving has been attached to a piece of cardboard which measures 15 inches wide by 19 3/4 inches high (38.1 cm x 50.2 cm).

In block letters in the bottom left corner of the engraved section it reads FROM THE PAINTING BY A. MULLER URY

In block letters in the bottom right corner of the engraved section it reads ENGRAVED AND COPYRIGHTED 1925. BY WITHERSPOON & COMPANY, INC., NEW YORK

The engraving has some damage to it. There is a scrape to the surface to the right of his face. There are a few other small dots and scuff marks to it. At the bottom there are three water stains. There is dirt, scuff marks and some lighter water stains going around the entire exterior.

Overall though, it\'s a wonderful looking piece.
