Antique 19C French Bronze Sculpture of Sleeping CAT~Cast in Paris France~Signed~!

Description: Up for sale is this very interesting bronze casting of a sleeping cat. This bronze was cast in Paris, France using the lost wax method of manufacture. The term Cire Perdue can be found inscribed on the tail of the cat as well as Paris. Cire Perdue is French indicating the method of the lost wax casting. There is also a foundry stanp but I am unable to make out the inscription. Maybe Susse Freres Editeurs of Paris. The signature is also hard to determine: appears to be Prozen Ki. This piece has a remarkable resemblence to aTheophile Alexandre Steinlen cat but the signature does not support this. I have done my best to find who this artist is but without success. If you know and would be willing to share please shoot me an email.

This sculpture is a life size rendering of a sleeping cat. It is a realistic depiction of a cat stretching out for a cat nap. Detail and color are great. Please see pics for all details. This is a heavy casting and the piece weighs between 14 and 15 lbs. We are listing this tonight with !

Dimensions: Measures 19" long X 12" wide and about 4" to the tip of the ear.
