Offered here without reserve is an 18th / 19th century French Neoclassical hand wrought gilt bronze and iron \"skeleton key\". Overall good condition, great age and functional or just ornate and decorative. Fine casting of the gilt bronze the swags and acanthus leaves are characteristic of Neoclassical motifs.

Excellent condition, typical age appropriate wear and toning to high points of gilding.

Probably belonging to a commode, chest of drawers, cupboard, bureau plat, etc.
