This set likely dates to the late 1800\'s / early 1900\'s making it easily over 100 years old.Set shows usual signs of age for such an antique, patina and natural fading of the finish etc.Board is split into 4 pieces probably due to the age of it. Box shows heavy wear and the lid is no longer attached.Includes a hand written note stating \"This set belonged to I. R. Johnson when a young man of probably 30 years of age, about 1918.\" - D.I.J
