Antique 19th c Samson porcelain Cherub figure imitating Meissen:

I have for sale an attractive antique porcelain figure ofa Cherub or Putti made by Samson in France in imitation of Meissen, which Ithink dates to approx 1850-1870.

The figure measures 11.5 cms (4.5 inches) in height and isof a cherub presenting a garland of flowers, it stands on a round domed basemeasuring 4cms in diameter.

The figure is beautifully painted in a variety of colourspredominately lilac.

The piece is marked on the base with a crossed swordsmark which is partially obscured and another partially obscured mark whichlooks like a green crown.

The piece is in very good condition with no damage.
