You are looking at a very unusual hand carved and painted mermaid figure. Looks to be 19th century. Very old paint and wood. Not exactly sure what it was used for? Circus or parade maybe. It would look great hanging in a bar. Shows lots of honest wear. I would say the only major damage is the few missing fingers. The piece measures 40 inches long.
