19thC Antique Japanese Early Meiji Period Papier Mache Black Lacquered Glove Box.

Measures 5cm tall by 30cm across with a depth of 9cm.

Nice sized collectors box made from papier mache with black lacquered finish and gold gilt decoration.The top lid shows a garden/family scene.

Good overall condition with usual age related marks,scuffs etc all commensurate with age and use.As shown in all photos.

Open and closes okay and hinges in good condition...little dusty on inside.

Please note this item is old(over 120 years at least) and has wear and tear commensurate with age and use.
