This is a Great looking early 19th Century Travel Trunk featuring a Beautiful Aged Wood Construction with years of Age wear and Patina that you cant buy in a Can. The hand forged Handles and Lock are all Present and Display very nicely. This old Chest has a History of Sailing the Seas with a Previous Owners Grandfather. While I cant substantiate the ClaimI can say that it would be perfect for Stacking in the hold with the Flat Top and the Lock would Keep everything Safe while out of the owners watchful eye. No matter where it has been over the last 175 years It Looks Fantastic & is Begging to be back on Display.
