Antique 19th Century Chinese Embroidery Forofferden Stich Silk Textile Art Top

This is arare and gorgeous detailedexample of the Chinese ForofferdenStich orPeking Knotembroidery. The background is a royal purple silk, some of the photos make it look like it is uneven color but it\'s not, it isa royal purple not blue.It is elaborately embroidered with beautiful flowers, berries, birds and butterflies, in colors of fuchsia, pink, orange, sage green, and cream.

Condition: It is in great antique condition!The fabric is good and strong, theembroidery is in great condition,no bad odors,there is a little bit of soiling on a area on the front (see pic #12)itlooks like it would come off, and a some soiling on the back that is not very noticeable. There is a 1/2 tear in the fabric at the bottom of the front V-neck opening.

Measurements:It is a very square cut, laying flat 21\" across the top including sleeve, 20 1/2\" across the bottom, 21\" down the back, the neck opening is very small 19\" including theV-neck.
