This clock is a very nice beautiful french original solid white marble and bronze ormolu mounted portico mantel clock set in near mint condition, it has a absolutely stunning look to it all in great condition for age, the case has its original finish to it which still has a superb display finish as you can see from the pictures and is of the highest quality imaginable with a superb clean colour to the marble Case is constructed from a high quality white marble and solid cast bronze that are all in excellent undamaged condition and of the highest quality imaginableThe case has a superb portico design with 4 marble pillars 2 to either side, all is in excellent condition, the base has a superb serpentine front shape style design to it which sits beautifully when on displayTheir are various cast bronze mounts over the case that are all undamaged and in great condition with thier original ormolu finish to themThe clock is complimented by its 2 original matching 5 branch side candelabra garnitures which give it an awesome display lookIt has a superb white porcelain dial with arabic numerals, the dial is in excellent condition with original gold ormolu filigree hands and all protected by its convex glass and brass bezel hinged door. The dial does have a repaired chip to very outer edge under the number 5 but cannot be seen on display as it is covered by the bezel doorThe clock has an 8 day french bell striking movement with an anchor escapement, the movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking the bell exactly how it should as can be seen in the video above and comes with its original french sunburst pendulum and a new winding key.
