#6.Original oil on canvas laid on board painting of a bucolic landscape by the American artist Walter C. Long, dated 1940. The artist depicts a rustic farm set in the mid west with a few homes scattered about the rocky landscape, large windmill seen along the background with patches of grass throughout the dry ground. Signed by the artist along the lower left and displayed in an original period gilt gesso frame, the artwork measures approx. 24-1/2\" by 20-1/4\" with a sight size of 19-3/8\" by 14-3/4\". There is heavy craquelure to the canvas and visible touch ups, wear to the frame with some losses, so be sure to scroll through our many photos to capture all the details.
