Up for offer is the Antique Violet - Rays by Sears, Roebuck & Co. At the time, this kit was boasted to be one of the must have items for the progressive physician for his arsenal of disease-destroying weapons. Harmless and painless, this kit was designed for home use. The coil mechanism is enclosed in a one-piece bakelite container. The glass electrodes and mechanism is housed in the hard case as shown. This device is in excellent working condition. The strength of the Violet Ray is adjustable, and the knob on the bottom of the wand controls the intensity. Once started, it can cause a slight spark to the skin when applied. Like a static spark. All of the electrodes in this kit are in perfect condition except for the scalp rake. As shown, on of the end tines has broken off, but is included, so can be fixed by a glass person. Everything in the case is original. The cord is a cloth covered cord, with no breaks or repairs. I plugged it in, and turned it on for the pictures, and as you can see in two of the photos, the Violet Ray will follow the hollow of the electrode. This was designed to be used anywhere on or in the body for healing, and has the instruction book with it explaining how and where to use the attachments. What an awesome piece of medical history to add to your quack medicine collection.
