For BIN, a lovely antique bisque head girl doll on a cloth body with composition hands and arms to the elbow. She is marked 150 Germany 2. and stands 22 inches tall. She is wearing a vintage wig , dark blond in braids with a blue ribbon at the end of each. The hair feels like human hair but I did not test it, so not sure. She has pretty dark brown feathered brows,real lashes on top, painted on the bottom, brown glass inset eyes, rosy cheeks, orange lips on an open mouth with 4 upper teeth. Face is excellent and gorgeous. Paint is lovely, no rubs, no hair lines, cracks or chips in the bisque. She is a socket head on a shoulder plate. I suspect the body is a replacement but it is antique. The shoulder plate looks to be a repro. The body is cloth as are the feet. There is a small tear at the ankle and some saw dust leaked so I put tape over it and returned the sock. Her arms are leather and look to have been added to the body. Hands and arms from the elbow to fingers are compo. The compo is excellent. No crazing or lifts. All fingers are there. Paint is excellent. She is wearing vintage chemise and pantaloons in the antique style. They look nice. The dress is antique. It is lovely. There are vertical pin tucks at the top of the bodice and lovely airy cotton netted French lace across the bodice. This pretty lace trims the wrists on the dress and these is a ruffle at he hem line with the lace and more pin tucks. See pics. the dress is a little wide so I pinned it in the back to look more tapered and it looks fine. There is a gold pin on her dress under the chin with a pearl center. The dress does have some age discoloration mostly on the front. It is yellowed a little and could use an oxy or Efferent soak but is a lovely dress. The coat is also antique. The fabric us wool lined in a silk crepe. The sleeves come to a Vee to her hands and to her elbow on the under side. There are 5 buttons on the front of the coat covered with the wool fabric. they do not have button holes on the opposite side though. The coat is in very good condition. Has a few very small moth holes. Not dramatic. She is wearing vintage long white textured cotton socks in the antique style and reproduction antique style shoes. The shoes are high tops, an ecru leatherette with faux pear buttons. One is missing.Unless you want to clean the dress, she is ready to display and presents beautifully.Please ask as many questions as you need to and thank you very much for dropping by.
