Loetz Hand Painted Opal to Pink BotanicalArt Glass Vase

Description:

The vase has a tapered and bulbous form.
Cased glass with a glossy finish.
Interior has a opal white ground colour that glowsneon green under a UV light.
The shaded cased decor is opal white spreading to pink.
Hand painted enameling with gold gilt is of branches with dainty flowers, and palmate foliage. I believe this is a depiction of \"Cinquefoil\" flowers.
There is accented, gold trim on the cut rim and the low footed base.

The rim is 2\" diameter.
The base is 2-7/16\" diameter.
The vase is 4\" wide, at best.
Wooden base is not included.

Dr. Kai Hasselback\'s article on \"An attempt to identify early Loetz production from 1880-1897\" has examples to compare with.Please look at 23.06to view the DEK 1374 comparison of the hand painted, \"Botanical\" decoration.Pic 41.03 amd 17.07 resembles the colour as well.
The hand painted decoration is verysimilarto the works of Jules Barbe for Webb. This vase is not Webb, as Webb did not produced this shaded cased colour. However, Loetz production produced thisshaded cased colour, and there aresimilaritieswith the hand painted decor to compare with other examples from Loetz.
