Description: This edition of James Boswell\'s famous biography of the literary critic Samuel Johnson is complete in 3 volumes. Each volume is quarter leather over cloth. The spine of each volume is gilt and decorated with five raised bands. There is moderate wear to the hinges and the spine (as can be seen in the pictures) of each volume, but the hinges and binding of all three volumes remain fully attached. The books are 9 inches by 6 inches.
