This lovely antique Stockman\'s marker was recently purchased from a local estate. It is gold filled with hand tooled metalwork. These markers were used by stockmen before it became electronic. This type of marker was also referred to as a \"Port Crayon\". It has a twist mechanism that expells a thick waxy soft marker. The fancy Victorian cartouche is inscribed with \"GOLD CH & L CO.\" This is a beautiful piece of early 1900\'s Victorian metal working. It measures 5 6/8\" long and it is 3/8\" in diameter. A nice heavy piece! There is some wear consistent with the age of the pencil and a small ding on the end. Also, some wear and a few scratches to the piece that turns the lead.
