Antique cast iron owl letter holder. Art nouveau by Judd from what I\'ve read on other pieces. On the back and bottom it is stamped 514B. It measures about 7 1/4\" long, 4 7/8\" high and 2 3/4\" wide. It was last used to hold napkins but I think it was made to hold letters. Very heavy and solid. No dents or scratches. The front is an owl on pine branches with cones. The back has some more pine branches and cones. The inside bottom shows an owl face and some more pine. I did not try to clean the metal for fear I would cause it damage. Very beautiful and also useful.
