This is an antique and very collectible miniature cloisonne vase. I have another very similar one listed, but they are not exactly the same, either in the colors or the shape. The colors of the enamel are greens and blues and burgundy, with some pinks, white and turquoise blue. One can tell that this one is old because of the delicate variations in the color of the enamel, the high relief and generally the delicate workmanship. Later pieces are often made with less care. The background is gold. The metal is most likely made of brass, though I think the golden parts are gold plated, but not sure about that.
It measures a little over 5 cm tall (approximately 2 inches), a bit over 3 cms (about 1.25 inches) at the widest point.
Condition: Very good condition for an antique item. There is a tiny dark spot on the gold rim on top, and a tiny bit of the gold rim missing at the base, with a spot of the blue enamel showing through there. A couple of laces with small bits of enamel missing around the wider part of the vast, but very difficult to see and harder still to show in a picture. Please check the pictures carefully, as I do not accept returns.
