This is an antique Chinese Asian Handled Water or rice carrier. It has the original painted and lettered finish. This has never been sanded or restored. It is in original condition. It has a beautiful red wash on the outside and a grey wash on the inside. The wood and metal work are done by a master craftsmen of the period. It shows original wear. It was made between about 1860 and 1880. The top is 12\" x 12\" and 9\" tall. A nice addition to any antique Asian art collection, Chinese or Japanese.
