15\" Charming old cloth doll with such sweet qualities. She is all hand sewn and so is her dress. I find the hand stitched ears, tiny fingers and crooks of her elbows to be so charming. Her head was sewn with four pieces of fabric, the face, a two piece band across the top and the back. I can see marks on the band and back of head where hair was drawn on. I can barely see some eyes and eye brows on her face but she is so worn and needs a good cleaning. Her hand sewn dress is faded and torn calico print it is held together with a steel pin. The top of both arm seams need to be mended, this is where you can see she is stuffed with paper at least in the arms and maybe legs and body. I pulled a tiny bit out and read the words in tiny print \"Catholic\" and \"this\" the paper is fragile so I will leave the mystery to be solved to the new owner. The previous owner did not know the history of this doll.

Thanks for your great questions. I have added a close up of the fabric in a spot that is not as worn as the rest so you can see the pattern which is quite worn in some spots.
