Here we have a simply BEAUTIFUL classic older super high quality saw and that would be a DISSTON number 12 that is in EXCELLENT Plus condition! The number 12 was one of Disstons top of the line saws, was made out of the best London Spring Steel and Extra Refined. These no 12 saws were better finished then run of the mill Disston Saws which was reflected in their high prices originally. This example is in about as nice a condition as you are ever going to find one. Is an open top saw and medallion dates it to 1896-1917. Probably the time period when Disston made their best saws. This example has an original 22 inch blade with 10 PPI teeth and is stamped 10 on the heel. Teeth are sharpened cross cut. Teeth are excellent, no damage, no broken or missing teeth. No funky or misshapen teeth either. Teeth are sharpened correctly and are sharp. Teeth could be original factory ones. I see lots of saws ( I own over 500...maybe lots more!) and this saws teeth are as nice as I have seen on an old saw found in the wild. Blade is Straight, no kinks or bends. Blade is bright with just some minor staining spots. No rusting or pitting. Has a beautiful 100% etch as you can see. Blade has its original nib which is fine. Has a knock dead beautiful carved Apple wood handle which is in Excellent condition. No cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. No owner marks. Wood is light colored and handle has \" Crisp\" edges. Horns are perfect. Please see my photos which show everything well....Guys this saw has it all...Top of the line saw, is in beautiful Excellent condition, teeth are great and saw was made at the time when Disston made their best saws...can\'t go wrong when you buy them like this!
