Offered hereis this Antique Sterling Silver Water Pitcher made by William B. Durgin Co. of Providence, Rhode Island and retailed by Tilden Thurber Co. of Providence, RIcirca the late 1800\'s. This elegant and ornate water pitcher has a curved lip and a four line neck.It has apedestal baseand the water pitcher has an ornate handle decorated with scrolleddesigns. The water pitcher is in excellentcondition with onlya few faint scratcheson the sides. The pedestal base is remarkable with no dents or dings and perfectly round. There is an ornatemonogram on the front of the pitcherthat featuresmultiple lettersin script (see picture). The water pitcher measures 83/8\" tall at the heighest point on the top of the handle. It measures 8\" wide from the end of the spout/lip to the far end of the handle. Theroundpedestal base has a diameter of 3 1/2\". The pitcher weighs in at a hefty 640grams (20.5 Troy Oz.) of solid sterling silver. It is marked on the bottom and reads \"Sterling 609 3 1/2 Pts. Tilden Thurber Co.\". Exceptional, collectible piece. Most sterling water pitchers you see are somewhat plain in design and this one is quite ornate andwill display well.
