The purse is done in petit point with a romantic scene on each side and there is a floral border. The frame is brass and set with different colored glass gems and pearls. The interior is lined with silk and the original hand mirror is still present. This piece measures 7 3/8\" in length and is 5 7/8\" in height (not including the handle). The workmanship and detail is absolutely exquisite. There are small finely detailed and realistically colored petit point flowers around the border of the romantic center scene in shades of violet, lavender, rose, blue mustard, orange and more. The small jeweled stones are all facet cut in ruby red, emerald green and sapphire blue. There is an amethyst color oval facet stone set in a deep bezel which is set in an openwork bezel. This amethyst stone is pushed down to open the clasp. This is an excellent addition to your collection.
