Antique Early Paper Mache Doll with Braided Coronet and Inserted Hair:

From my collection, this is a rare early 19thc antiquepaper mache lady doll her hair pulled up in a into a braided coronet Her hair is brown, which is unusual. In addition to this, human hair in long curls has been inserted onto each side of her forehead. Her face is well modeled, with tiny dots to indicate her nostrils and blue eyes. She is on a cloth body, which has been repaired over the years, and has wooden forearms and calves with blue shoes and tiny gold dots to indicate buttons. She wears antique beads and a wonderful antique dress in the correct style for her age, over a chemise and slip. She stands about 16\" tall. She has minor crackleture on her forehead, very small and over her right eyebrow,some on the bottom of hertorso, and some paint gone from her left boot, all consistent with age and all pictured.
