Description

This is a beautifullate 30s early 40sEastern Star 10K Masonic gold ring with beautiful heart shaped pink garnets. I first thought the stones were amethysts as they are a light purple in sunlight. But, under incandescent light orwith a flash they change to different shades of pink, depending upon the light source. The first and second photos show the contrast of the two colors, one photo taken with a flash, the other under natural light on a cloudy day.

The ring is very beautiful and the face quite large so it makes a dynamic statement. The face of the ring is 3/4\" wide. Themaker is Samsan Co.It is hallmarked 10K SA. This company was founded in 1931 by Sammartino & Sanchirico. The company incorporated in 1943 taking the first 3 letters of each name.

The ring is in good antique condition. The front of the stones are perfect however two of the heart shaped gemshave small chipson the back. This doesn\'t seem to effect the beauty however my starting price reflects the condition. The ring is just slightly below a 6 so I am saying it is a 5 3/4although if you take it to a jeweler he can put it on his mandrel and with a gentle tap, make it a size 6.
