Really beautiful ebony and hallmarked silver-mounted conductor\'s baton in case lined with blue silk.London hallmarks for 1945.The baton is in excellent condition and has an interesting levered join so that the two parts are never separated.The mount at the top has a blank cartouche, which could be inscribed to personalise, and is clearly hallmarked.The central mount has been inscribed - \'1931- May 8th 1946 To Dad from Jim and Minnie\'. This is also clearly hallmarked.The case is in decent condition overall, with brass mounts. The inside is particularly clean and bright.An exceptionally well-preserved and beautiful baton.
