Unusual Fine Antique English Silver Plate Elephant Salt & Pepper Glass ShakerCondiment Holder

An Englishsilver platesalt and pepper condiment set, in the form of elephantwith an elaborate saddle cloth and ahowdah for the salt and pepper shakers on a base witha round holderfor sugar cubes or another spice.

Hallmarks on back leg: Diamond registered design mark or lozenge mark. Class \"I\"ismetal,year\"C\"isfrom the1870\'s, \"K\"November,\"2\" parcel, \"15\" day, ??? registered design (the letters in the middle are illegible).

Excellent condition. Except on the salt shaker is a very minor scraping of the glass ribbingwhere thesmooth glass meets the ribbing on the side.The salt spoon is not available.

Measures: 4 3/4\" long x 4 1/4\" high x 3 1/4\" wide.

Items are Antique, Vintage or Used and not NEW and are therefore NOT perfect. Scratches and wear is possible.
