Exquisite 1840’s original Victorian vinaigrette box - British hallmarks F C for Silversmith Francis Clark, Birmingham England (see scans). Elaborate floral decoration on the top lid and bottom side, gold wash interior with engraving and pierce work. The lid is monogrammed \"L. Hills\".
The vinaigrette measures 1/4 x 1-3/8 inches x 3/8 inch thick.
Condition: Very Good, interior gold wash, with patina (not recently polished), no repair or damage, hinges are in good working order and open and close firmly - SEE SCANS FOR ACCURATE DEPICTION ~
