Up for your consideration is an Antique French Beaded Purse in very good condition.
This purse is burgandy and silver beads with floral motif and green clover and was made before the 1900's is pre Victorian from about 1880 in France. See my pictures for details of the design. It has been stored for over one hundred years, hardly used.
The beads are in perfect design and care - the hanging fringe is in perfect shape, nothing missing, the gold frame seems untarnishing from age, and the chain handle still is near perfect. It is hard to find a purse this old in this fine condition.
There are some tears from frame each side and hinge that need repair. Otherwise the lining needs complete repair, silk has dissolved from age. This purse hasn't left it's box for over 40 years - was put away with a wedding dress, which I will be featuring later this week. offer with confidence.
